Eurovision nightGot myself some ice cream and will be making myself compfy on the sofa so I'm ready for the big, glittery, horrible music, camp, pointless politics, drama that is eurovision. It never disappoints me. :la:
Sadly I will be alone for this one. Matt had to do a concert he didn't want to do, so I will be live tweeting (humonlazydiva) my impression of the whole shebang. :D
The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.

Callibrate your Wacom tutorialHad you  finally  made  the transition from intuos 3 to intuos 4?, or Are you rich to change into an intuos 5? Had you made the transition from a first generation cintiq  to the new ones?. More levels of pressure will mean  more quality to the paintings, am i right?. 
Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only  to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?
Did you ever thought that painter its hard to handle with new tablet? Too much pressure? If it has more pressure why i cant control more easier the beggining of the stroke which is more crucial?.

imagine me away from the computer for a month or 2....
Anyway... the more bad news the title is talking about iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiissssssssssssss... I'm not gonna talk about it xDDD
no really... I dun wanna talk about my problems anymore....just felt like writing something or else my head will explode....

Mom did something stupid ....which will cost a lot to get back ....and I have so many things to do ...and I'm just one person ...and so many bills.... and great....I'll stop here or else I'll start to blab again...

I need to remake the Commissions journal @_@
....
Anyway....after I finish these current commissions....I'll definitely go on a hiatus... no more drawings around here unless they're commissions... Because I got an ofter from a company and I need to make some mockups ...if they like them they'll collaborate with me and they said they have many projects ...and they put very short deadlines! and I'll probably have to focus on that ....I already hae to make a mockup(pinup) of a character in a very NOT MY STYLE style....caricature type...uugghhh and I need it done in 24-36 hours..... 17hours already passed since the mail was sent ...so....blergh...I'll make it small resolution so I can finish faster (though I never work in small resolutions @_@)

I remember i was doing freelance work for Majecso/Digital Embryo and they had me draw robot designs...it was just something i didn't care for and it was really boring. I did that for 3 days and left...

it sucks doesn't it! to draw stuff you're not at all comfortable with... plus they're paying me a measly 40$ XDDDDDDD for the project and for the mockup I'm not getting payed :|
